Shift 2

Limiting thought patterns impede growth. Denial is another way in which we may become stuck in life. Resistance happens when we close our mind and ignore inner feelings and needs. Like water restricted by a dam, life energy is blocked and therefore does not flow as it was meant to.

What are you denying in life? Which situations keep you locked in pain or struggle? What thoughts, beliefs or behaviours do you need to release in order to free yourself? Connect with your feelings and needs through meditation. Peace is your most natural state. Deny no more. Come home to your deeper truth.

Shift

Wisdom is based on knowledge and experiences in life. It involves an inner knowing that comes from a deeper awareness of the big picture. All too often, this inner knowing is blocked through limiting thought patterns. These disempowering habits are very common, creating illusions and impeding personal growth. For the next several weeks, there will be tips for transforming limiting thoughts and opening oneself up to positive change. This week focuses on the limiting pattern of blame.

Who or what do you blame for whatever is happening in your life? Blame is a disempowering habit that maintains victim mentality and holds negative regard for others. Transform blame by taking full responsibility for yourself and your life. Release the negative energy and empower yourself through love, compassion, and respect for all. Nothing is perfect in life. Humans are prone to errors. We learn through our mistakes. Mistakes are one of the best teachers in life. Honour yourself and others.

Peace

When we let go of tension, we discover a beautiful sense of peace. This is the essence of our authentic nature! We are naturally wise and peaceful once stress and tension are dissolved.

Be a model for peace and harmony in the world. The time is now. Let go of that which does not serve you well and watch the world around you subtly shift in the presence of your genuine nature!

Relax!

How does one relax in a world of constant activity? With never ending to-do-lists, continuous streams of information, and perpetual updates promoting the latest advances in healthcare remedies, relaxation has become foreign to many people. The truth is that relaxation is an inherent skill we are born with. It is an internal experience available whenever we choose and a natural part of being human. This may sound strange considering the high number of external remedies being promoted in our world, but it is true.

How do we access this natural state? By letting go. Let go of tension and stress. Cut back on the to-do list and prioritize relaxation by releasing conflict, the need to be right or perfect. Build trust in yourself to make good choices in the moment and your ability to balance self-care with daily life. Relaxation is vital in today’s busy world!

Truths about Meditation 2

Meditation is more than relaxation.  Meditation, at its deepest level, involves consciousness. With raised awareness of differences between your inner and outer worlds, you have a vital starting point for integrating the two worlds and stepping firmly onto your path for enhanced wellness.

Releasing the continuous chatter within, space is created for open observation, without judgement or expectations. This open awareness is a higher level of consciousness! Congratulate yourself each time you achieve this! And each time the chatter returns, bring yourself back to open awareness, like gently bringing back a curious young child who has innocently wandered away.
